Details About the ACSR Program
ACSR designations can be earned in Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.
You may take the courses in any order.
Each course is followed by a one-hour exam. To attain the designation, you must pass each of the 5 exams for Personal Lines, 6 exams for Commercial Lines.
ACSR Tracks
There are two tracks available including Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Each track requires core courses including:
- Ethics 311 - Ethical Guidelines for Insurance Professionals*
- ACSR 4 - Agency Errors & Omissions
- ACSR 5 - Professional Development & Account Management
Personal Lines Track Includes:
ACSR 1 - Homeowners Insurance
ACSR 2 - Personal Automobile Insurance
ACSR 3 - Personal Lines Related Coverages
Plus ACSR 4, ACSR 5 and Ethics 311
Commercial Lines Track Includes:
ACSR 6 - Commercial Property Insurance
ACSR 7 - Commercial Liability Insurance
ACSR 8 - Commercial Automobile Insurance
ACSR 9 - Commercial Lines Related Coverages
Plus ACSR 4, ACSR 5 and Ethics 311
*Ethics requirement. All designation participants must complete either Ethical Guidelines for Insurance Professionals (for all programs except CPCU) or the CPCU programs Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct. Both online modules are free. Learn more and register now.

Registration Fee includes: instruction, course materials, coffee breaks, pastries and snacks. Lunch is on your own, Registration fees are deductible as ordinary business expenses, but my not be deducted a charitable contributions.

Continuing Educationh
These courses are filed for six credits in Vermont, approval pending. Full attendance is required if requesting state continuing education credits. Anyone may attend the courses and receive state continuing education credits without taking the exam. Continuing education credit approval is subject to re-evaluation by the state insurance departments and can change at any time.
Cancellation policy
To receive a full refund, VIAA must receive a request no later than three (3) days prior to the class and any study material must be returned. Requests received within the three (3) day period are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. No Shows forfeit the entire registration fee.
